Laminated veneer lumber (LVL) is a modern engineered product, manufactured from rotary peeled veneers glued together to form continuous panels. These panels have excellent bending resistance, tension and compression properties and greater load-bearing capacity than traditional materials.
Reduced twisting, warping and splitting, makes LVL easy to build with, providing time and cost savings. LVL can be used for
horizontal and vertical solutions, providing a dimensional precision which gives architects and specifiers greater design possibilities.
The structure can become an elegant design feature in itself. Good for long spans, with minimal deflection, LVL is ideal for roof and floor joist and lintels/framework studs, both in new build and renovation, where strength is needed. The timber that LVL is manufactured from comes from sustainably managed forests.
